IMAGE 1
Four colour greyscale portrait
MATERIALS
Adobe Photoshop
Acrylic paint
Paint brushes
Cartridge paper
Process
A portrait photo was first chosen and then traced in Adobe Photoshop to create a four colour image. Limiting the photo to 4 colours removes the fine details making the image easier to recreate with different techniques and colours. The image was traced to show outlines of the four colours so it could be painted over with acrylic paint in a greyscale colour scheme.

Process
This four colour image was traced in Adobe Photoshop to create the four colour image. The image was traced to show outlines of the four colours so it could be painted over with acrylic paint in a pink monochromatic colour scheme. This image expresses personality as pink is my favourite colour and I wanted to include colours that I enjoy.

Chocolate Chips (white, milk and dark)

Six colour mosaic portrait

Adobe Illustrator
Acrylic paint
Paint brushes
Tracing paper
Process
This six colour image was traced in Adobe Illustrator to create only six colours. Tracing paper was painted with six different colours and then cut into triangle pieces. These pieces were used to create a mosaic portrait.
Reflection
Exploring different colour combinations, materials and techniques to create these images was fun to see how they all create a very different feel of the portrait and work at displaying personality.
